More Nerf guns does not always equal more ladies
Nerf guns are one of man's greatest achievements. I personally rank it somewhere between beer and landing on the moon. The ages that use them most are 6-14 and 35+. I believe around age 15 or 16 many boys fool themselves into believing they are above Nerf guns (they aren't), but once their kids have them they realize they never were. They are the only way to settle fights in the living room that mom (or your wife) will approve of. The best part is that if you run out of ammo, you just wait for the your enemy to fire a few rounds at you and you can reuse them. In this article I will be reviewing the best Nerf has to offer from the humble to pistol to a turret that will rain enough darts on the enemy to block out the sun!

Pistol
The pistol is one of the more underrated weapons in any Nerf battle. They are very mobile and easy to move around with. Pistols are ideal in indoor (urban) combat but aren't as effective in the long ranges being outdoors provides. The best pistol is the Jolt blaster. It only costs around $7 and is built to last. After a month of hard use this thing will not jam or snap or break. Every piece is in working condition. It can shoot a dart about 40 feet (specialty darts closer to 45ft) as accurately as you need it to. This pistol not only makes a great side arm, but it would also be an effective primary weapon. This is a great value gun.

Rifle
Now this is where many of you are expecting a review on the Longshot or another sniper rifle. Many of you would be wrong. While I agree snipers have their spot on any battlefield, in your Nerf battles a high quality assault rifle will prove more useful more times than the sniper. A good assault rifle still has very good range, but it will be a lot more mobile, higher rate of fire, and a bigger magazine than your Longshot will. My personal favorite is the Nerf Elite Retaliator Blaster. It has an advertised range of 75 feet, and while that range is easily accessible it takes a little bit of arching. It will shoot level at just over 50 feet. You can use the included Barrel Extension and Stock for 4 possible blaster configurations making adaptable in any situation. Being able to adapt in the heat of battle can be the difference in adding a tally in the win column or the lose column.

Light Machine Gun
The role of those with light machine guns is darts down range at a high rate of fire to suppress the enemy. No other gun is better than the Nerf Stampede ECS at this. This is Nerf's first automatic gun (needs but doesn't come with batteries)  and has an intense fire rate of 3 darts per second.  It also has a bipod to stead the gun when in prone position  and three 18-round clips and one 6-round clip. It is a very quick on the reload and built very sturdy at a whopping 5lbs. This gun has a good range and great rate of fire. No portable gun is more intimidating...

Turret:
...But there is a stationary gun that is more intimidating the Stampede. It is Nerf's automatic turret. It is a massive 8 pounds and has a 25 round belt. It is mainly stationary and is built for "holding down the fort"; although the tripod does fold up for easier transportation. It could use a little better accuracy, this gun never claims to be a sniper. You're hits per shot might go down but your hits per minute will skyrocket, and that is the statistic that matters most. If you get this, the only disappointing ones will be your enemies.
