Men play darts with a Blow Gun
I grew up in rural Michigan. A small town of 2,000 and everybody had guns (plural intended). Shot guns, hunting rifles, pistols and the occasional semi automatic assault rifle. It makes for a loud opening day of deer season. Bows are also very popular. But after watching an episode of 'Top Shot' I realized almost nobody (I only knew of one other) had a blow gun. Now I live in a metropolitan area with a population of 325,000 people. The blow gun is just as rare, and unlike shot guns, hunting rifles, and other things that go bang I find this just as entertaining as I did in the countryside.
Lethality
One of my friends has been shot in the butt with said devise and the dart tip stuck to his butt bone. The tips to the darts are insanely sharp and be extremely careful with them. Pliers are required to pull them out of some types of wood. That being said I believe while they can cause some intense pain and a little bleeding you would have a hard time killing anything other than a small rodent. The darts are not long enough and not nearly wide enough to do some serious damage unless you happen to get a lucky shot. Dart guns are better served as something to mess around with on your free time.

Accuracy
Blow guns are surprisingly accurate, even at greater distances. While you wont be able to hit something as small as a quarter from further the five feet you should have no problem hitting a paper plate size target from over 50 feet after a little practice. Me and my friends even bought a dart board to keep holes from out of the walls and help keep score.
Sizes
You can get blow guns in all kinds of lengths and caliber (thickness of dart). The lengths start at 6 inches and can go up to 72 although the extremes of each spectrum are much less common with most people getting something between 24 inches and 48. The longer the barrel the more accurate; the shorter the barrel the easier it is to maneuver. It also has different caliber and the common ones are .40, .50, and .60. To be honest there is little difference in performance or price among the different caliber sizes while .40 seems to be the most popular
Conclusion
Blow dart guns are great fun no matter where you live and extremely cheap to buy. I bought a 36 inch gun that is a .40 caliber. The dart gun itself came with a dozen or so darts and cost around $8.00 off of Amazon. I also bought an extra pack of 50 darts for about $5 and since they are reusable after being shot I figure they will last a lifetime. It is not as accurate as a sniper rifle by any means but you can hit a target from a surprisingly far distance and they are loads of fun. A minor warning: you get the longer ones they sometimes come in two parts, which make for 2 effective short blow guns or one long one that is less effective than a single piece blow gun.
